Random adventures, thoughts and links from a girl who grew up in Colorado, really grew up in NYC then moved back to Colorado as an adult, only to be presented with the opportunity to live in London for a year and work. Oh the places we'll go....

jstn:

Brendan and I decided to order Thai food last night and faced an all-too familiar problem: remembering which curry is which. With colorful names that may or may not reflect their actual appearance and similar ingredients that aren’t usually listed, selecting a curry can be a harrowing decent into the darkest depths of indecision.
It was time to settle the issue once and for all. We ordered all five standard Thai curries so they could be examined and sampled as a complete set, and challenged ourselves to build a web site with our notes in exactly one hour (cementing the memory and providing future reference should that memory fade). This is that web site: allthecurry.com

Reblogging because this is genius. I typically go for the thai green curry because it puts my flavor senors on a non-stop roller coaster - adrenaline and all. But I always experienced that red curry was much milder than green curry. Would it ever vary by restaurant? One of my favorite things about living in a big city again is the close proximity to good thai food even though London and Thailand are worlds away. I think I could eat green curry everyday and be a very happy woman. Anyway, check out the quick and dirty curry site that jstn and his friends created. I dream of a day when I too can order all of the curries from the menu and have a taster of each. Thai curry party anyone? Love the photo! View high resolution
